The BCIM is designed to monitor the output voltage of a battery charger and open a pair of relay contacts when the voltage is below a field-selectable threshold. The amount of time that the voltage must be below the selected threshold before the relay contacts open is field-selectable. 

The LED indicators on the BCIM allow the technician to quickly assess the condition of the battery charger monitoring system.

The QuEST Q232-STS Serial Transfer Switch transfers RS-232 signals from a primary communications link to a backup communications link. The Q232-STS will transfer to the backup link when the backup communications equipment asserts its DCD signal and transmits data. When the backup link de-asserts its DCD signal, the Q232-STS will switch back to the primary link.

The SAM-422 is an inline surge protector intended to protect an RS-422 link against egregious surge events, such as those produced by lightening strikes. In addition to providing protection against primary surge events, the SAM-422 includes a pass-through interface which can be used in cases where the surge-protected link has been damaged. The SAM-422 also includes a loopback connection for convenient diagnostics of RS-422 connected equipment.
