LEDCS-1 LED Colorlight Simulator

The LED Colorlight Simulator (LEDCS-1) was designed for use in test environments—both lab and bungalow—to simulate the current draw of LED signals manufactured by Ansaldo STS – USA, formerly US&S.

The LEDCS-1 is designed to be mounted on AAR terminal strips.

WARNING: The heatsink plate and resistors will be hot when signals are lit.

Instructions for Use

The Lamp indicator will be lit only when lamp voltage is applied to the corresponding terminal and the associated switch is in the "UP" position. To simulate a healthy Lamp signal, the switch must be in the "UP" position. Switches in the "DOWN" position break the circuit to the load and check pulse circuitry, which simulates a light-out condition.

NOTE: The UICS-1 provides two different COM connections. COM1 and COM2 are normally isolated from one another but can be combined into COM2 by removing the solder short JMP1 and adding solder short JMP2.

  • LEDCS-1 Terminals 1, 2, & 3 are referenced to COM1
  • LEDCS-1 Terminals 4, 5, & 6 are referenced to COM2
